How To Cut a Mango Click here for Spanish
Wash With Gloves: Before cutting mangos, rinse under cold water.
Cutting Off Sides: Place the mango with one of its narrower sides facing up. Starting 1/4-inch from the stem, slice along each side of the pit to cut off the “cheeks”.
Dicing: With the skin side of the cheeks on the board, cut the flesh criss-cross being careful not to through the skin.
Separating Cubes: Press the skin so the fruit cubes pop outward.
Spooning: With a spoon or knife, scrape off the mango cubes.
Center Peeling: Peel the remaining center section.
Cutting Center Flesh Around Pit: Cut off the fruit around the pit.
Cubes On Plate: Mango cubes can be placed on a plate or in a bowl and served with toothpicks.
